At the UN, Arab nations do not want the situation in Sudan discussed at all, and no other nations are willing to send peacekeepers to western Sudan. Meanwhile, the UN is organizing a force of 10,000 peacekeepers to go to southern Sudan to supervise the withdrawal of over 100,000 government troops from the area.
